Many parks are year-round, though mountain areas are seasonal.
EV Charging Infrastructure in Washington
Washington has excellent EV charging infrastructure along I-5, I-90, and around Seattle-Tacoma. The state's progressive environmental policies mean strong EV support. However, eastern Washington and remote areas have limited charging. Mountain passes impact range significantly. Tesla Superchargers and other networks provide good coverage in populated areas. The West Coast Electric Highway supports coastal travel.
Planning Your EV RV Trip
Washington coastal and lowland camping is year-round but summer (July-August) offers the most sun - PNW summers are magnificent. Fall brings rain but beautiful colors. Mountain camping is seasonal (July-September) with snow possible into July at high elevations. Popular parks book far in advance for summer. Plan charging carefully for eastern Washington and mountain areas. The varied terrain significantly impacts range. Consider shoulder seasons for fewer crowds and still-pleasant weather.

EV Charging No EV charging without prior consent from Silverline Lakeside Resort office staff. Additional charges will apply. / No plugging into power posts at sites that you are not paying for, whether it's for charging an EV, trailer, or any other purpose. This is considered stealing power and will result in a $275 fine per occurance.
Lynden / Bellingham KOA Journey
No electric vehicle charging allowed. Please do not connect electric vehicle chargers to any of our campsite pedestals.
Lone Fir Resort
Our cabins and rooms do not support EV charging. If you are a hotel/cabin guest, would like to charge your EV, and there is a RV spot available, we can add a $20 EV charging fee to your reservation per day. If there is no RV spot available, then EV charging is not available.
Swinomish Casino & Lodge RV Park
If you're looking to charge your vehicle, we have limited EV charging stations available in the Lodge parking lot. Please contact the Lodge Front Desk for more information.
Winthrop / N. Cascades National Park KOA Holiday
No EV charging at this campground.
Burlington / Anacortes KOA Holiday
Electric vehicles cannot use our electric pedestals as a charging station. It is prohibited for electric vehicles to hook up directly into the pedestal, use mobile charging cords, or adaptors, including charging cords connected through the RV.
Starbuck / Lyons Ferry Marina KOA Holiday
Our current electrical pedestals were originally designed for non-continuous loads typical of today's RV usage, and therefore simply cannot support EV charging.
Leavenworth / Pine Village KOA Holiday
Our pedestals are not designed to charge EVs. Plugging your EV into one of our outlets or pedestals could result in damage to the electrical system of this campground and your equipment. If you choose to plug your EV into one of our pedestals or cabin outlets, there will be a $30 fee.
